Participation Waiver & Release of Claims

1. Acknowledgment of Home Studio Environment

I understand that programs are conducted at a private, residential property (home-based studio) located in Eagle Mountain, Utah. While reasonable precautions are taken to maintain a safe and organized environment, I acknowledge that this is not a commercial facility and may present unique conditions inherent to a residential setting.

I agree that my child will follow all instructions regarding entry, exit, and designated areas within the property.

2. Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in art classes, workshops, and camps involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Use of art supplies (paint, brushes, pencils, cutting tools, etc.)
Minor physical activity and movement within the space
Interaction with other participants
Use of studio equipment and furniture
Entry/exit of the home and surrounding property

I voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of others.

3. Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, and discharge Ceran Studios / The Hive Creative Lab, its owners, employees, instructors, independent contractors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of participation.

4. Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, I authorize staff to provide basic first aid and to seek emergency medical treatment for my child if I cannot be reached.

I understand that:

I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred
I must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, and special needs during registration

5. Supervision & Conduct

I understand that:

Students are expected to remain within designated studio areas
Respectful, cooperative, and safe behavior is required at all times

Ceran Studios reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to others, without refund.

6. Pick-Up & Property Responsibility

I agree to:

Pick up my child promptly at the designated end time
Follow all posted or communicated procedures for drop-off and pick-up

I understand that Ceran Studios is not responsible for children outside of scheduled program hours or outside designated areas.

7. Independent Contractors

I understand that some instructors may be independent contractors, not employees, and that they are qualified to teach their subject areas. All instructors operate under the policies and standards of Ceran Studios.

8. Photo & Media Release

I grant permission for my child to be photographed or recorded during participation for educational and promotional purposes, including use on websites, social media, and marketing materials.

I understand:

No compensation will be provided
Media will be used in a professional and appropriate manner

(Parents may opt out via the registration form.)

9. Policy Acknowledgment

I confirm that I have read and agree to all program policies, including cancellation, refunds, behavior expectations, and safety guidelines.

10. Agreement

By registering my child for participation, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to this Liability Waiver & Release of Claims.
